The Posada Colonial is located 7 kilometers past La Fortuna, between the town itself and the Tabacon Hot Springs. Most people fly into the main city of San Jose, Costa Rica and then hire a car or take a bus to La Fortuna. From there we would be happy to pick you up or you might opt to take a taxi from the town square which will cost approximately $3.00 USD. Just look for this sign tucked in between the trees:

Some people arrive to the region via airplane as there is a small airport a few kilometers from La Fortuna. The reason so many travellers enjoy the central-northern area of Costa Rica is because of the many different activities that are located here and the stunningly natural environment. Rivers, lakes, volcanoes, hot springs, and a plethora of animal life and plants will keep you occupied for at least a week if you so desire! Treat yourself to an experience that you will never forget!
